We wanted to find a way by which we could step change our manager’s ability to market their businesses more effectively and to provide a platform by which we would be able to enhance the sales culture within the Pitcher & Piano business.

By way of introduction, to provide the bar managers with a framework of ideas and approaches they could use, Paul ran a series of seminars/workshops with our bar management teams. These proved to be very well received bringing a mix of ideas and practical application. It has established a consistent level of understanding across the business and has provided an excellent platform onto which we are now layering other initiatives all designed to increase the focus on sales.

Paul set up a series of workshops across Novus Leisure to develop our management team’s skills in local marketing. These courses were instrumental in driving like for like sales performance and significantly contributed to the sales and EBITDA performance of the business. Additionally he also trained all of the key reservations staff in local marketing which again improved pre booked sales. His most successful contribution to the business was through the Christmas workshops which we developed and he ran them. These created an enormous improvement in delivering focused plans to drive covers and pre booked events for the key trading window in Novus Leisure.
